Welcome to The Hideaway, a converted living van set on our working farm and livery yard. Situated in its own little nature haven, in the middle of the the farm with far reaching views across the vally facing west, you will catch some of the prettiest sunsets in Kent.

Wake up to the sound of Skylarks, Yellowhammers, Chaffinches and busy Moorhens on the pond. In the evening enjoy cooking over an open fire or on the BBQ while relaxing in the last warmth of the day, taking in the sunset over the flower meadows. Chapel Down vineyard is a short walk away, take a tour and wine tasting before finishing with dinner in The Swan restaurant, or take a walk to the National Trusts’ Smallhythe place.

We are between the pretty towns of Tenterden and Rye with their many independant eateries and a short drive away from the coast, with many beaches including Camber sands. With plenty of historical places of interest, steam trains and local walks there is plenty to fill your day. Or if you just need a break from your everyday then come relax and unwind with the fully equipped kitchen, log burner and king sized bed. Guaranteed it’ll keep you cosy, comfortable and content while you catch up with some well earned rest.

What to expect: 

• Small kitchen with crockery and utensils provided, as well as tea, coffee and sugar. 
• Fridge and small freezer.
• Radio, log burner and heater, Logs and bedding provided.
• Outside toilet and shower a short walk away, situated on the campsite. 
• Fire pit outside with BBQ griddle and produce available from the farm butchery (please enquire at point of booking for availability). 
• On a bus route for Rye and Tenterden.
