August 2014: Reserve champion success at Kent County Show

After a little break from showing at the Kent County Show, our shepherd Phil returned with a team of poll Dorsets to Detling to compete in the any other native section and came home with quite a few rosettes.

Leading the way for us was our home bred shearling ram by Rocky prince Charming who won his class and then went on to stand reserve breed champion. Also taking a first prize in the ram lamb class was a Islaharnan Tyson son. Then bringing home second places in their classes was a Rocky-sired shearling ewe and then a Tyson-sired ewe lamb. The ewe lamb also stood second in the wool on the hoof class and we also took a second in the breed class group of three.

Edenbridge and Oxted is next for us and it’s our favourite show, so we look forward to seeing you at the end of the month.
